Household financial pressure continues to affect many Thai consumers, underscoring the importance of repayment discipline and responsible credit behavior amid ongoing economic uncertainty.
Krungthai Card Public Company Limited (KTC) has awarded the first 100% debt clearance reward under its “Debt Clearance 2026” campaign to a disciplined KTC PROUD cash cardmember, with the reward value totaling THB 1,522,758.11. For the first round, KTC granted a total of 50 debt clearance rewards worth THB 2,463,708, comprising one 100% debt clearance reward and 49 debt clearance rewards worth 10% of outstanding balances.
The campaign is designed to reinforce responsible borrowing behavior and encourage consistent repayment discipline, while supporting members in managing debt obligations and improving financial liquidity. The initiative also reflects KTC’s ongoing focus on responsible lending and sustainable portfolio quality.
The first-prize recipient, Mr. Natapol Boonthanon, a business owner and long-time KTC PROUD cash cardmember for more than 12 years, received full debt clearance worth THB 1,522,758.11. Other 10% debt clearance reward recipients in the same prize draw included Mr. Siridech Meesiri , who received THB 10,182, and Mr. Ratchakrit Klongpayabal, who received THB 22,445.
Mr.Natapol said the reward is more than financial relief. It gives him an opportunity to reset his financial plans, strengthen business liquidity, and support his family with greater confidence. He added that he had used the KTC PROUD cash card as a source of working capital for his business, particularly during a period when many entrepreneurs continue to face limitations in accessing formal financing channels.
Ms. Phichamon Jitpentham, Head of Personal Loans at KTC, said the “Debt Clearance 2026” campaign is intended to support members with strong repayment discipline by helping them reduce debt burdens, improve liquidity, and regain greater flexibility in managing their financial goals.
“In an environment where household financial pressure remains elevated, KTC believes that positive financial incentives, together with the promotion of repayment discipline, can help encourage more responsible credit behavior over time. This campaign is not only about rewarding disciplined borrowers, but also about giving encouragement to members who manage their credit responsibly and maintain consistent repayment discipline,” she said.
The “Debt Clearance 2026” campaign runs throughout 2026 and offers a total of 600 prizes, comprising 12 full debt clearance rewards and 588 partial debt clearance rewards worth 10% of outstanding balances, subject to the campaign’s terms and conditions.
