The Hong Kong Tourism Board is ready to welcome Thai and global travelers once again through Hong Kong Wine & Dine Festival 2023, an outdoor food and drink festival, which was previously on a five-year hiatus. The event will be packed with 300 food and beverage booths from all corners of the world with special rate packages from its partnership with KTC World Travel Service. The Board hope to stimulate at least 500 Thai tourists to attend the festival.
Mr. Poj Skuntalak, Manager of Hong Kong Tourism Board (Thailand),stated that at the beginning of 2023, after Hong Kong stimulated tourism through a 500,000 free airline tickets giveaway campaign open to countries around the world, it resulted in a large number of tourists returning to Hong Kong.Thai tourists traveling to Hong Kong ranked second in Southeast Asiafollowed by Filipinos. On average, Hong Kong saw approximately35,000-40,000 Thai tourists per month. For the remainder of the year, The Hong Kong Tourism Board has revived its mega campaign to attract tourists again with thefood and beverageHong Kong Wine & Dine Festival 2023, a large-scale annual event that has been on a 5-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 crisis. Highlights of the event lie in the 300 booths showcasing global food and wine offerings and food workshops that welcome foodies of all ages. There are alsoMajor Country Pavilions from 30 countries worldwidewith exclusive food product launches for attendees.The Hong Kong Wine & Dine Festival 2023 is scheduled to take place from October 26, 2023 - October 29, 2023,atVictoria Harbour’s Central Harbourfront Event Space.The Hong Kong Tourism Board expects that the festival will attractat least 500 Thai touriststo Hong Kong.
