KTC, or Krungthai Card Public Company Limited, invites members to welcome the Mid-Autumn Festival 2026 with “A Moonlit Celebration,” the annual mooncake collection from Siam Kempinski Hotel Bangkok. The collection reflects the traditions and cherished memories of the festival among Thai-Chinese families through the artistic vision of Yoon–Phannapast Taychamaythakool, one of Thailand’s acclaimed contemporary visual artists and designers, whose work has been featured in collaborations with leading global fashion and lifestyle brands.

 

Under the theme “A Moonlit Celebration,” Yoon draws inspiration from childhood memories of the Mid-Autumn Festival, from candlelit family altars adorned with fresh flowers and incense to the traditional sugarcane archway, believed to symbolize a gateway through which prayers travel from the human world to the moon. These elements are reinterpreted through a contemporary artistic lens, blending Chinese mythology with twenty-first-century imagination. The artwork features paired Jade Rabbits, celestial birds, and auspicious gourds as symbols of love, hope, prosperity, and the sharing of blessings during the festive season.

 

The artistic concept is translated into Siam Kempinski Hotel Bangkok’s 2026 mooncake collection, featuring eight mooncakes presented in a wooden keepsake box engraved with a pair of rabbits beneath the full moon, accompanied by a specially designed tote bag. The collection includes four flavors: Custard, Royal Project Strawberry from Chiang Mai, Monthong Durian with Salted Egg Yolk from Chanthaburi, and Italian Pistachio.
