RecentlyMiss Janejit Ladpli, Head of Public and Corporate Affairs Division at KTCwas invited as a speaker to share insights on “KTC’s Role in Supporting Startups and Innovation” with graduate students from Chulalongkorn University’s KSIM (Korean Studies for International Management) program at the Chaloem Rajakumari 60 Building, Chulalongkorn University. This session was part ofKTC Offer, an initiative designed to extend learning beyond the classroom, providing valuable knowledge for students, professionals, and businesses. It also builds on KTC’s long-standing marketing collaboration with the Korea Tourism Organization (KTO) and Korean businesses, promoting travel experiences for over 6 years.

The presentation highlighted the credit card business's role beyond financial convenience, emphasizing support for SMEs and start-ups. Through platforms like “KTC UShop” and “KTC World Travel Service,” which serve over 3 million members, businesses can expand their reach to new prospects and sales channels. KTC also provides SMEs with secure, internationally standardized payment systems via KTC Merchant, accepting e-wallet payments from over 10 countries.

Asst. Prof. Dr. Kamon Busaban, Director of Korean Studies at the Faculty of Graduate School and Lecturer in the Korean Language Program, Faculty of Arts, Chulalongkorn University, stated: “This lecture is part of the Korean Studies for International Management program, designed to inspire students and enhance their marketing knowledge through insights from financial businesses like KTC, which supports tourism startups. Thai-Korean relations are rapidly expanding in economy, entertainment, and technology, making this curriculum essential for providing in-depth knowledge and real-world applications. Graduates of the Korean Studies program can pursue careers in international affairs, translation, interpretation, international business, mass communication, and the entertainment industry or continue higher studies both domestically and abroad.”

The Korean Studies for International Management program at Chulalongkorn University was launched in 2008. Over the past 16 years, it has gained significant popularity, with more than 80% of students being international. The program has produced over 125 graduates.
