Public hospitals continue to serve as Thailand’s primary healthcare frontline, caring for more than 70% of the nation’s patients. As treatment costs and the demand for medical equipment escalate, essential diagnostic tools, life-support devices, and specialized equipment for complex diseases have become increasingly urgent needs. In response, KTC is encouraging a new form of public participation by transforming “reward-point donations” into funding for critical medical equipment, helping public hospitals enhance their capacity to deliver continuous and effective care.
“KTC” or Krungthai Card Public Company Limited acts as a bridge between credit card members and the Ramathibodi Foundation through its KTC FOREVER point‑donation program. Under the initiative, every 1,000 KTC FOREVER points can be donated as THB 100, with donors eligible for a double tax deduction in accordance with Revenue Department regulations. In 2025, KTC members collectively contributed reward points valued at THB 47,061,500.75, supporting the purchase of vital medical equipment and helping underprivileged patients access quality treatment.
The Ramathibodi Foundation, under the Royal Patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, serves as the central fundraising body for essential medical equipment and supports healthcare operations at Ramathibodi Hospital. The hospital provides care for more than 2.4 million outpatients visits and over 44,000 inpatients cases each year, making the availability of modern and reliable medical equipment a crucial foundation for equitable and sustainable patient care. Collective contributions from the public play a vital role in closing funding gaps and enabling public hospitals to keep pace with rising patient volumes and the growing complexity of modern diseases, ultimately strengthening Thailand’s healthcare system for the long term.
