The Foundation for the Blind in Thailand under the Royal Patronage of H.M. the Queen is the first foundation to assist the disabled in Thailand. It focuses on helping the visually impaired through the development of knowledge, abilities, and experiences necessary to carry out daily life without expecting any reward. It has three main objectives as follows:
1. Provide help to the visually impaired regardless of ethnicity, gender, and religion
2. Provide general education and vocational training to help the visually impaired live happily in society
3. Collaborate with other local and international organizations either the government sector or NGOs to promote activities that benefit the visually impaired
The Foundation has received great cooperation and assistance from people who value the importance of giving opportunities to the visually impaired, both in the form of donations of money, items, and assistance in various ways. The Foundation aims to bring hope and positive opportunity to the visually impaired to help bring light into their lives.
