Poh Teck Tung Foundation is a large social welfare charity that works to help alleviate suffering and offer benefit for the happiness of fellow human beings who are suffering from various disasters during the entire life cycle, namely birth, old age, sickness, and death, regardless of class, caste, race, religion, gender, and age. It operates with the following objectives:
⦁ Help those affected by fire, flood, storm, and other disasters in general
⦁ Establish a hospital under the name "Hua Chiew Hospital" to treat patients of all types of diseases
⦁ Establish schools and educational institutions (Huachiew Chalermprakiet University)
⦁ Assist with general funeral arrangements and established a cemetery for this purpose
⦁ Promote and nurture religious, literary, artistic and scientific activities
⦁ Carry out general philanthropic activities or according to the Board's resolution
To help the impoverished, the underprivileged and those in need to have better opportunities
